Careers — Aquaculture New Zealand
Aquaculture New Zealand would also like to share a new series of short, engaging videos created with international aquaculture “fishfluencer” James Sibley, filmed across Aotearoa.
These videos are an excellent classroom resource for science, technology, sustainability and careers learning. They provide real-world insights into how New Zealand farms its three key species — Greenshell™ mussels, King salmon and Pacific oysters — and highlight the research, innovation, and environmental stewardship behind our aquaculture sector.
Students will also get an understanding of the variety of roles available within the sector and the locations of these opportunities.
What the videos can support:
· Science (marine biology, ecosystems, food webs, environmental monitoring)
· Technology and innovation
· Climate and sustainability topics
· Primary Industries and NCEA Agriculture/Aquaculture
· Careers education and pathway exploration
Access the series on the front page of the website:www.aquaculture.org.nz
